Frequently Asked Questions

  • Not at all. SMBV Co. is all about being welcoming, not intimidating. Our coaches build your skills with patience and encouragement — so you’ll learn, laugh, and feel supported the whole way whether you’ve played before or not.

  • Each level has a handy description to guide you. If you’re on the fence, start one notch lower — it’s more fun to feel confident than overwhelmed. And don’t worry: our coaches are pros at spotting where you’ll thrive. Check out our levels here!

  • Just your energy, comfy clothes, water, and sunscreen. If it’s cooler out, sand socks are a great idea to keep your feet warm. We’ve got the balls, nets, and good vibes covered.

  • Our courts (A&B) are just north of Perry’s Café at 2600 Ocean Front Walk in Santa Monica. Accidentally end up at the Perry’s at 2400? No worries — just stroll a little south and you’ll find us (and our flag!).
